Loneliness is bad for your health. As bad as smoking 15 cigarettes a day, according to Victoria Carmichael our speaker at this morning’s WBG breakfast meeting.
Representing CARM, A local charity that focuses on befriending lonely people in Tenterden and Romney Marsh, Victoria suggested ways that we can help. Options include volunteering and spreading the word. She also drew our attention to charitable giving when shopping online: services such as Amazon Smile can be used to support charities while incurring no extra cost to the buyer.
