Today’s presentation from Oli Kinsley of The Grapevine Jazz & Champagne Bar in Rye introduced us to the 70-seat venue which, until recently, was an antiques shop. The bar aims to be a destination for those visiting the area from London as much as serving the local community.

Live music
The bar has live musicians every night, with three regular groups supplemented by a range of others, some coming from London and beyond.
Staff
Oli works hard to create an enjoyable and fulfilling work environment, paying above average rates. The result is committed staff who go the extra yard to ensure the customers have a great experience.
Lighting & decor
The use of mood lighting only creates a cosy and informal atmosphere. The musicians are sited very close to the audience too, which combined with the extensive carpeting to dampen the sound results in an intimate musical experience.
