Today was the culmination of the charity fundraising events of outgoing WBG chair, Anthony Groves, tenure. We were delighted to welcome two representatives of Caring Altogether on Romney Marsh (CARM) to the breakfast meeting, and listened with interest to the final update on their activities for the year.
The traditional oversized cheque for the sum of £2,000 was then presented by Anthony Groves to Victoria Carmichael in the hope and expectation that it will contribute to the outstanding work they carry out combatting loneliness and isolation amongst the elderly residents of Romney Marsh and the Weald.
