On the 28th Jan some members of the Wealden Business Group took part in a 3 hour glass fusing workshop at Mara Amore on Tenterden High St. The owner of Mara Amore, Heather Carpenter, is also a WBG member. Heather took the group through all the basics of glass fusing, including information on the type of glass used, the different kinds of fusing (all dependent on the kiln temperature), how to cut both straight lines and curves, and much more. The group members were then let loose on a plentiful supply of glass in a myriad of colours, creating the lovely pieces that are shown below.
