Weds 14th October 2026

At this morning’s Wealden Business Group meeting, carpenter and WBG member Perry Barton delivered an engaging presentation showcasing his exceptional timber work and versatility across a range of domestic and commercial projects. Walking members through everything from subtle upgrades to major structural modifications, Perry highlighted how fine carpentry elevates a property’s character. Examples of his work included bespoke oak front door canopy conversions, made-to-measure fitted wardrobes designed to maximize awkward eaves space, stylish interior feature wall panelling, and custom balustrades.
Perry’s showcase also demonstrated his capability with complex architectural projects and sustainable design. Highlights included the intricate timber roof framing constructed for Kilburn Library, hand-crafted oak window cill replacements, a bespoke garden pergola, and a delicate “eyebrow” roof window installation. Showing his creative flair, Perry featured rustic shelving repurposed from scaffold boards alongside a striking, custom-built oak staircase.
Covering projects across the whole of Kent, Perry works closely with homeowners and trade partners to deliver tailored carpentry solutions built to last. To discuss an upcoming domestic project or timber renovation, you can find further information and get in touch directly via his profile page.
