Emilie Naiker of Your Virtual Assistant joined the group this week to talk about social media use for businesses. Puncturing some of the myths and addressing the fears, she showed how effective social media can be at engaging with existing and potential customers.
She showed how content can be planned, whether it is looking at the business and its people, or using tools like Google Trends or hashtags to focus on hot topics.
She also outlined some other tools to locate appropriate (and free!) images, and how to ensure posts happen at the right time.
