Mark Beattie joined the group to tell us about Off Broadway Travel, headquartered in Welwyn, Herts, and with an office in Tenterden, who are celebrating 28 years in business. The business was started by his parents along with a business partner, and Mark joined the family firm about 8 years ago.
The Kent office is used by 9 home-based associates offering their services to customers across the county and beyond. They specialise in putting together bespoke holiday packages, including those geared around sporting events, but can help with almost any need and frequently can find costs savings over a DIY approach. They have won multiple awards over the years, and are members of the likes of the Global Travel Group, the Travel Network Group and AITO. This ensures that customer funds are completely protected to a level greater than that offered by ABTA.
Mark also described a recent trip of his – a safari in the Kruger National Park. It was quite an experience, with many excursions into the park which Mark expected to be exhausting, but turned out to be so interesting that any thought of tiredness disappeared and he was eager for even more. He highly recommends it and would be delighted to create a holiday for anyone.
