Established in 1991 by current owner Anthony Groves father, Don Groves, the company had just one van and utilised the catchy slogan “We keep moving”. Within a couple of years they realised that offering storage facilities would improve both their service to removal customers, and their profitability. Starting with a church hall, they have now ended up with an 18,000 square foot warehouse in Rye harbour.
DC Groves & Son have had an enduring focus on providing a quality experience to their customers, and back that up through their commitment to meeting or exceeding industry standards. They are members of the British Association of Removals, and have achieved multiple quality standards through Trading Standards, ISO & Which.
From humble beginnings, the company has grown to the point where it is running 6 vehicles and has 7 employees in addition to the directors. They are proud of the fact that they have never subcontracted work to another removals firm, as that would not allow them to ensure their standards are maintained.
