In the whirl of confusion around Brexit – will we, won’t we, how will it affect my business? – a recent presentation to WBG by Pegasus Financial ManagementSystems put to rest the fears of those companies which export to the EU.
Pegasus director Adrian Garside-Gibson said that whatever the political outcome of the negotiations, UK companies reliant on selling goods to European customers could continue uninterrupted.
He said the solution was to…
- Establish an ‘EU Identity’ using a legal address and postal services, preferably located near Frankfurt, one of the busiest centres of commerce on the Continent and Germany’s banking centre;
- Use this new GmbH entity to collect orders from EU clients;
- Create new delivery forms for goods and/or services, acceptable to both UK and EU customs authorities.
Pegasus offers to set up the new system, including submitting VAT payments to the German finance ministry, and national and local tax returns.
Said Adrian:
Brexit has triggered a need for genuine expertise in setting up and running a successful company in the EU. We provide the agency services to help achieve just that.
It means that whatever the politicians decide, a UK-based company can continue to trade in the EU without interruption, and also with reduced liability for corporation tax.
