Paul is an entrepreneur who, prior to setting up Kare Plus, ran a cleaning company that employed about 400 cleaners at its peak. But cleaning was not a business area that excited Paul, so more recently he set up Kare Plus with a view to providing quality care to people in their homes and elsewhere.
Kare Plus is essentially an agency that works on a franchise model (for now) and puts carers into people’s homes, into care homes and into hospitals. They have about 150 care workers on their books at the moment, with ambitious plans to expand into more complex care and to provide more training. The buzzword at Kare Plus is quality, with a ‘Good’ CQC rating and a desire to improve that to ‘Excellent’.
They also are heavily involved in the local community, operating a monthly soup kitchen, sponsoring a local girl’s football team and much else. They are very visible on social media too, with many of their opportunities generated that way.
What does the future hold? A buy-out of the franchise is on the cards, so keep an eye out for a name change!
