The WBG was, this week, treated to an amazing selection of wildlife photos taken by local photographer Corinne Pardey. Corrinne works for the RSPB in Dungeness as her ‘day job’ but has a growing business offering a range of services around the topic of wildlife photography.
Corinne described her own journey to this point, from a childhood on the edge of woodland which ignited her passion in wildlife, through a degree as a mature student in Hadlow College, and culminating with where she is now – selling her wonderful images, running courses for people interested in taking their own, and quickly building a large following on social media (including over 3K followers on Instagram in under a year).
Corinne also talked about the equipment she has used on that journey, starting with a Canon 1000D which took her so far, but eventually proved not up to the job of capturing fast-moving birds in flight. Her current camera is a Sony A7, which is the smallest and lightest full frame 35mm camera around. Important if you are lugging it around the Isle of Mull looking for that perfect shot!
Corinne’s website will launch soon, and she can be found on a number of social media channels, including instagram.
