Teresa Dupay is a will writer, but she has reached that profession after quite a variety of other professions, and a visit to prison!
When she left school at 16 she wanted to be a chef, but ended up instead working for a stockbroker, including trading on the floor. Subsequent jobs included being a hotel manager (where she met Twiggy), selling photocopy paper and (after taking time out to study nutrition) working at an allergy clinic.
This led to Teresa becoming an entrepreneur, starting her own company – Nutrition+ She also self-published a book, and created a weight-loss programme. Her next business was SnackCheck, which was successful enough to result in an invite to Dragon’s Den. But that was thwarted by a heart attack!
Typically, Teresa turned that into an opportunity, including working on the Expert Patients Programme. This was where she visited prisons to help inmates (did you expect a different type of visit?). The heart attack did not slow her down, she has since run marathons and completed triathlons, as well a taking up cold-water swimming.
