Benefits
The benefit is that members of affiliated organisations can attend up to six WBG breakfast networking meetings each year on an ad hoc basis: they simply need to let the WBG secretary know by midday on the Tuesday before the Wednesday meeting that they wish to attend as a visitor, turn up and pay for their breakfast on the day. If interested in taking things further, they can apply for membership of WBG on normal terms. The affiliate membership may, in time, be expanded to include attendance on WBG’s away days and at their social events.
We would not want affiliation to be abused, of course: if someone frequently attends as an affiliate, they would eventually be expected to apply to join or reduce their visits to appropriate intervals.
We would hope that similar benefits would be available from affiliated organisations for WBG members.

Please see the list of current members of WBG. This is important because of WBG’s exclusivity clause: an existing member can veto an application for membership by someone else in the same business classification – but this does not stop someone in the same classification turning up as an occasional visitor
