Today’s presentation from Gavin Baker of Potter’s Home Digital informed the group of significant advances in recent years in the field of home/office lighting. Rather than utilising the usual rows of downward-pointing spotlights, homes and businesses are discovering that modern design often allows for just 60% utilisation, resulting in significant cost savings over the old off (0%) or on (100%) setup.
He continued by explaining that utilising different types of lighting (task, ambient and feature) with the latest generation of LED lights ensures that people can carry out day-to-day tasks in the home or office without needing to strain their eyes, thus improving concentration and reducing tiredness.
Potter’s work with the England football team in this area has been recognised, and many awards have been won.
