Weds 21st January 2026

WBG was joined at breakfast this morning by Robert Carroll of Croweaters. Robert is an expert in psychological assessment and behavioural analysis who has worked with many organisations in the private and public sector offering psychological consulting and training services.
Robert took the group through the 7 facial expressions that were documented by Dr Paul Ekman following a traumatic experience when a women who was released from custody for her child’s birthday party instead took her own life. From recordings of her interviews he discovered micro-expressions that could be relied on to show true feelings, regardless of what is being said – happiness, sadness, anger, fear, disgust, contempt, surprise.
Hands can also be an indicator, with truthful statements often being illustrated by the hands (e.g. writing in the air), and with deliberate misleading statement often accompanied by touching of the hair, ears or nose.
Robert has upcoming training sessions available for booking.
