It’s said that a picture paints a thousand words, and at this morning’s breakfast meeting, Ian Wade of Kent Workwear gave a presentation that showed his company’s range of branded work clothing in a way that even ten thousand words would struggle to match. Suffice to say that, at one point, we were all wondering just how many more layers of clothing would come off! But the need to make the meeting X-rated was avoided.
Whilst being an excellent model for branded clothing, Ian also managed to take us through his work-life story, from his start as a trainee carpenter (too cold) through to being a photocopier salesman. In time, Ian started his own photocopier business which, given his appetite for work and eye for making an impression, thrived for many years. In time, though, photocopying fell out of fashion, and it was time for find another opportunity.
It was a game of golf with the previous owner of Kent Workwear that provided that opportunity, and Ian took the business on with a goal to streamline the workflow so as to make it more efficient. This he has achieved, and the business has grown, offering a wide range of clothing and other merchandise that can be branded with almost anything the customer desires.
