The Wealden Business Group, the Tenterden-based networking organisation for owner/managers of small and medium sized businesses, has announced its programme for the coming 12 months.
New intiatives include staging four WBG Workshops – two hour sessions for members, guests and potential new members on practical topics. Held quarterly, the first will focus on understanding and managing Excel spreadsheets.
Additional work will go into increasing the group’s online profile, while plans are being formulated for at least two major social events in aid of the group’s nominated 2016/17 charity, the Motor Neurone Disease Association. In recent years, WBG has raised more than £25,000 for good causes.
Comments newly elected WBG chairman Justin Nelson: “Our objective is to grow the group both in terms of membership and our reputation as the leading professional networking organisation in the area, generating business referrals and support for our members.”
Wealden Business Group meets each Wednesday for breakfast and networking at The Little Silver Country Hotel, Tenterden.
Potential new members are invited to a complimentary guest breakfast, and should contact secretary Dee Bateman on 07958 612937, email deebateman@hotmail.co.uk
